This is the standard gear cable we use in the workshop.
Inline barrel end, suitable for gears on most bikes available (either road or mountain) *.
Rounded end for a easy fit in the outer cable casing.
Available in 2 types of steel (to be selected in the drop menu below):
- Galvanised steel (£1): standard cable. Moderate rust proofing. Excellent value, recommedable for bikes stored inside and ridden under gentle weather.
- Stainless steel (£2): the ultimate rust proof cable. We recommend this cable if you store the bike outside, if you ride in harsh weather conditions or just if you don't replace the cables very often.
Good quality. Made in the UK by the legendary British brand Fibrax, which has been providing brake components for the cycling industry for over 50 years.
*Does not fit modern Campagnolo gears or older Huret shifters. Please ask us if you are in doubt about compatibility for your bike.
