What is the price range of your used bikes?
Most bikes are priced between £100 and £400. Sometimes we have bikes for sale from £50, and also we can have something very special available that goes over that range.
Are all your bikes vintage?
Most of them are, but we sell (and repair) modern bikes also. Please check our store or our facebook page (which is updated daily) to see what is available.
What is the price of a custom built project?
Custom builds start from £200. Obviously, the higher the budget the better the bike will be. For £300 we can built a bike over a vintage frame with virtually all new parts (wheels, tyres, saddle, drivetrain, etc). It will feel like a brand new bike, but custom made just for you.
Do you refinish frames or do frame building work?
We don't repaint bikes or repair frames structurally ourselves. We take them to reliable, well known third parties. However we can do some small refinish/frame building jobs. The most common ones are clear-coating a frame to add a nice gloss finish and enhance protection to the frame, preserving the original patina, and alignment of frame and/or forks (when possible).
Do you offer warranty with your used bikes?
Yes, warranty is offered for bikes from £100. Warranty ranges from 1 month to 1 year, depending on the bike. Terms and conditions apply for the warranty, please ask for details.
Do you repair hub gears?
We do repair and service Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub gears (modern and vintage) and other models too (please ask). Unfortunately, the cost of disassembling a modern, complex hub gear with 5+ speed, diagnosing the fault, parts and fitting is normally over the cost of the hub itself, so we tend to advise to replace the hub for a new one.
I bought my bike on the internet and it came in a box. Can you put it together for me?
Sure! If you don't like any of our bikes and prefer to buy something online, we are happy to take it and put it together for you. £25 flat rate. We strongly recommend taking the bike to a bike shop first time as safety will be guaranteed. Many customers that tried to put the bike together themselves end up bringing the bike anyway because something has gone wrong during assembly.
Do you sell brand new bicycles too?
Yes, we strongly focus in the used bicycle market, but if you don't find your dream machine in our stock, we are happy to order a new bike for you. We work with different brands: Barracuda in the entry-level market, Bobbin for premium, chic retro-looking city bikes, Surly for high performance yet classic looking steel bikes, and finally Forme for a modern range of road/mountain bike bicycles. We will find a new bike suitable for your cycling needs.
Do you sell accessories too?
Yes! We sell a range of locks, helmets, lights, pumps, etc. Always at very competitive prices.
