This is the standard brake cable we use in the workshop for racing bikes.
Pear nipple end, suitable for most racing bikes (vintage or modern).
Also suitable for some vintage bikes with flat handlebars from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Rounded end for a easy fit in the outer cable casing.
Available in 2 types of steel (to be selected in the drop menu below):
- Galvanised steel (£1): standard cable. Moderate rust proofing. Excellent value, recommedable for bikes stored inside and ridden under gentle weather.
- Stainless steel (£2): the ultimate rust proof cable. We recommend this cable if you store the bike outside, if you ride in harsh weather conditions or just if you don't replace the cables very often.
